Ashley Washington

Data Scientist & Product Owner

American, Berlin-based data scientist and product owner working in the esports industry.

Ashley Washington is a graduate of the Global Liberal Studies program at NYU where she conducted research in the Creative Production and Contemporary Culture concentration specializing in German culture, literature and language.

She is a former pageant girl, dancer, actress, writer and professional napper. Her interests range from cult films and the latest trends in gaming, to brand-making and dating culture.

Born in Los Gatos to a father in the NFL and an army brat mother, she is the oldest (smartest, and shortest) of six. Her formative years were spent in Buffalo and Charlotte, and she now resides in Berlin where she is making her greatest expat dreams come true.

In 2014, she completed her thesis, Ashley Rennt: An Adaptation of the German Heimat, a phenomenological argument for cultural hybridity. This academic memoir was the product of two-semesters of experiential learning and research in Berlin with the Global Liberal Studies program at NYU.
